Our Leadership Team
Specialty Technical Consultants’ (STC) team of senior consultants offers clients vast experience in all aspects of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management systems, auditing, permitting, and compliance assurance. For larger or certain specialized tasks, STC is able to draw on the capabilities of other qualified individuals and firms with whom we have worked closely in the past.
We help our clients manage complex worker safety and environmental challenges as business issues, rather than as engineering or legal obstacles.
Melanie Powers-Schanbacher, CPEA
Melanie is STC’s President and CFO. She has over 30 years of EHS consulting experience. Melanie joined STC in 2004, and has served as the company’s CFO since 2009. She is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) in Environmental Compliance and in EHS Management Systems and an RAB-trained ISO EMS Lead Auditor. Melanie currently serves as the Co-Chair of the NJ Society of Women Environmental Professionals (NJSWEP) and a member of the Board of Global EHS Credentialing’s Exam Development Committee.
Meghan White
Meghan is STC’s Vice President. Meghan has over 15 years of experience in EHS regulatory compliance and will oversee STC’s Regulatory Information Services. Since 2021, she has been responsible for STC’s regulatory tracking and audit protocol programs that provide these services to a variety of clients covering over 50 countries. Prior to joining STC, Meghan worked for a major EHS software company providing implementation support to clients, ensuring their ability to manage and track the success of EHS programs.
