Senior EHS Regulatory Analyst

Specialty Technical Consultants, Inc. (STC) is seeking a candidate to join our team of regulatory analysts and to support our expanding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Regulatory Information Services. STC’s Regulatory Information Services provide our clients with the tools necessary to keep current with global EHS regulatory changes, to effectively assess their impact on business operations, processes and products, and to minimize compliance risk.
The candidate will assist with the development and update of various EHS regulatory reference and compliance tools for U.S. jurisdictions. In addition, the candidate will manage and oversee U.S. regulatory content, support client projects, help shape and improve regulatory reference tools, and participate in marketing and communication activities to enhance the company’s presence and services.
Responsibilities:
• Research EHS regulatory and sustainability policies, laws, regulations, standards, and government agency guidance documents specific to U.S. jurisdictions.
• Present regulatory requirements in clear, concise and relevant manner, summarizing the potential impact on client’s operations due to changes in EHS requirements.
• Assist with monitoring of current and emerging EHS regulatory and sustainability issues to alert clients of new developments in policies, laws, and regulations.
• Share senior-level EHS regulatory knowledge and experience with team members.
• Perform technical reviews of both U.S and non-U.S. regulatory materials.
• Support client inquiries and requests by addressing their specific needs and EHS issues.
• Complete assigned tasks to meet project scope, budget, schedule and deliverable expectations.
• Regularly communicate with STC Partner mentor and project team.
• Participate in company business development and marketing efforts as assigned.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with other STC employees and Partners.
Candidate requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, sustainability management, law, or related discipline.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience working with clients on EHS regulatory compliance.
• Recognized as an expert or leader in at least one area of EHS with ability to work in multiple topical areas.
• Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex regulatory information to a diverse audience.
• Demonstrated project management and supervisory ability.
• Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision in a remote workplace.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Candidates with experience working with the EHS legislation and policy of non-U.S. jurisdictions are encouraged.
• Proficiency in a second language is a plus.

Specialty Technical Consultants, Inc. (STC) is seeking an experienced consultant to lead and help expand our safety and occupational health services. This is a special opportunity for a seasoned professional safety and occupational health consultant with outstanding technical skills and proven abilities to build and maintain long-term client relationships and to drive the direction of our service offerings. Candidates must have at least 15 years’ experience in the safety and occupational health consulting industry and appropriate professional certifications, e.g., CSP, CIH, MPH, CPEA.
Responsibilities:
• Perform safety and health consulting project work that is of high technical quality and that meets scope, budget, schedule, and deliverable expectations.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Effectively sustain client relationships leading to repeat business.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with other STC team members and service partners.
• Manage project teams for complex projects and ensure high-quality results that meet clients’ expectations.
• Serve as the STC Safety and Occupational Health Services lead, responsible for advising STC Principals on service area strategies, resource needs and performance goals.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance STC team member awareness, knowledge and safety and occupational health consulting skills.
• Serve as STC’s Corporate Safety Officer.
Candidate requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, engineering, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, or related discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of safety and occupational health consulting experience.
• Recognized as an expert or leader in the safety and occupational health field.
• Relevant professional credential(s) – CSP, CIH, MPH, or CPEA, or PE preferred.
• Proven record of technical capability and business development sales.
• Demonstrated project management and supervisory ability.
• Demonstrated experience working remotely or managing a remote team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Available to travel one- to two- weeks per month, depending upon client project and company requirements.
• Environmental consulting experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Highest level of professional judgment.
Candidates must reside in the U.S. and have current U.S. work authorization. This is a work from home position, with travel expected. Full-time position includes group medical and retirement benefits. Management opportunities are available for candidates with proven capabilities.
